It is all about education…

The Association for World Education has launched the World Education Series which is an online Web-Series that will highlight and address specific themes and topics related to lifelong learning, social change and the Sustainable Development Goals.

The series will take place in the following order -

  • Panel Discussions once every two months (six in a year)

  • Thematic Workshops once every six months (two in a year)

  • AWE Annual Conference once a year (very likely in October 2021)

She leads international projects in education, ecology, social development, pedagogy, She specializes in international communications and is engaged in the study/dissemination of the experience of Danish Folk Schools and the heritage of Grundtvig. She lives in Moscow, Russian

Kirsten Bruun

Member since 2007

Kirsten is a seasoned educator who is currently the Head of the Global Line at Flakkebjerg Efterskole In Denmark. She is also a member of the International Board of Crossing Borders. She is an avid global explorer, an artist and a chef in her own right. She lives in the Danish countryside in Flakkebjerg (Slagelse), Denmark.

Rikke Schultz

Member of AWE since 1997

Rikke Schultz is former Vice President of the organization. For many years, she has educated teachers and provided in-service training to teachers at University College Lillebælt, where she also has been responsible for education of Adult Teachers and School Librarians. She, now, works with continuing education of teachers focusing on new and sustainable forms of education under the auspices of the Association for World Education.

Sabith K. Pillai

India/Canada. Member since 2010.

Sabith is a social worker who specializes in sustainable community development working with non-formal and vocational education, and corresponding technologies. Formerly, he worked as the Assistant Coordinator for a project supported by the Department of Science & Technology (India), as the Vice-Principal of Mitraniketan People’s College (a community College) and as the Program Manager (hub partnership), Tata Institute of Social Sciences’ School of Vocational Education
